First off — thanks for all the positive feedback this year folks. It means the world to us. We’re looking to push the site even further in the next year, and the only way that is even feasible is because of all of you. You’re the best. Below I’ve included a recap of everything that we did in the past year – shows, videos, pictures, mixtapes, and more – in case, any of you want to see what ya miss in 2015.

Shows

Temple and DDC became my homebase for 2015. Temple for our monthly Gulou Double Decker series, hosted with pangbianr, which gave a spotlight to a slew of up and coming bands; and DDC for our seasonal quarterly mini festivals (the last of which will take place on January 23rd) – both great fun. Promise to expand further out in the next year, particularly get back in School’s graces, cause that place is the shit. Anywho – here’s the collection of posters from the past year, most of which were taken (and altered of course) from photographs I’ve taken over the course of my time here in Beijing

\"GDD \"GDD2_temple-WEB-copy\"

\"GDD3-copy\" \"double-decker-4-small\" \"GDD5\" \"GDD6\" \"GDD_7-copy\" \"GDD8 \"SpringFeverPosterVertical \"xmasspecialA \"SS3B \"winterpitchposter

Videos

Please be sure to check out our youku channel – we posted over one hundred and forty videos of over sixty bands this year – as well as a music video for Mammals alongside with good friend and filmmaker Graeme Nicol

Pictures

\"P1030712\"

Took a lot more photographs this year, some winners, some losers – it’s a learning experience and one I hope to continue pursuing in the future. Also, had some help from the one and only Stechs, who really has a knack for capturing the dirt and grime of the music scene —- here\’s the complete collection

Mixtapes

\"Cassette-tape_8192

Made it to 81 Mixtapes this year! Yahoo! While the soundcloud account hosting our yearly ‘Best Songs’ playlists will be decommissioned at the end of the month, our mixcloud account will be going strong into the next year – so if you’re looking to for 30-40 jams of some of Beijing’s top brass look no further. I\’ve also have been contributing to BeeHype the international database for collecting the top tracks from around the world – check out my picks (co-curated by BeeHype\’s team) over here.

\"2015topshows\"

While my camera didn’t frequent out as much (one of my resolutions from last year) I nevertheless found myself frolicking across Beijing’s venues night after night, from the dingy sweat and grime of School’s floors, to the jolly, familiarity of Temple’s tabletops, and everything in between. We lost a few soldiers along the way including XP and DMC, but gained a few as well including fRUITYSHOP, the new safe haven for Beijing’s experimental scene, and Modernsky Lab, the latest large-scale venue to suck up Beijing’s talent. Mako Livehouse got a Sanlitun makeover (and a drum cage of all things). Even places like 8-Bit and Caravan are getting in on the mix. LBM even threw their fair share of events this year (though enjoying those is a heck lot harder due to the crippling pressure involved). Yes, it was a hell of a year filled with a ton of fine evenings full of cherished (and possibly blurry) memories – here’s 2015’s best shows and moments.

Spring Fever at DDC

The biggest cheat. Besides this being my first big solo outing at DDC, the event double as the after party for my wedding and it couldn’t of been more perfect. Surrounded by the greatest friends, the greatest family, the greatest partner, and some wicked ass music – there were too many good memories including my father shaking his ass to Luv Plastik, Cat AIDS calling out each member of my family, white + getting translucent, and of course, Tanya.

Xiao He at School

Hands down the best show of the year. A performance of staggering beauty, endearment, and above all, precision that’s once again put my faith in the ability to be surprised at shows in Beijing

The Bug at Dada

 \"11011300_870088326379931_3721782486861475583_n\"

Just look at my face and that pretty much sums up my night with The Bug at Dada – where the Split Works team had to bring in a heck ton more amps to handle the bass and MC Manga jumping in right with the crowd. Pure chaos.

Luv Plastik, Gum Bleed at School

\"10-24-2015-Nakoma-Luvplasitic-School-805\"

To be honest, I had a hard time remembering which Luv Plastik show was which – both were at School; both hosted by Dr. Smartass, the latest promotion team headed by Cool Ghoul; both getting up with me scaling the ceiling whilst crowd surfing and eventually falling on my ass. Both were riotous – but gotta give the one to Dr. Smartass’s October outing which also had me screaming head on into Gum Bleed’s set. A alcohol fueled cathartic release of adrenaline powered by the music lords.

Xie Yugang at XP

Another early 2015 masterful performance by Wang Wen’s Xie Yuyang who played an ambient, drone-filled set on guitar and piano before being joined by some of XP’s Zoomin’ Night regulars. This was the performance which became the catalyst for Yang Haisong and Xie Yugang’s collaborative White Shirt release.

Punk-it-Spring at Snake Livehouse

Just a punkful delight of an event —- six hours of nonstop bombed out punk. Floors ridden with broken bottles, crowd surfing misfits, and camaraderie to the fullest degree. Highlights included toilet paper shenanigans with The Diders, cucumber hooliganism with The Jet Boys (visiting from Japan) and Wuhan celtic punks SMZB.

LOOP on Express Bus #3

\"P1110436\"

Love me some one-off concept shows. And while the idea of doing a show on a bus was met by more than a few initial obstacles, by the time the sun set and the Breezers were flowing like champagne, I was completely on board.

White + at XP

\"webwxgetmsgimg\"

For XP’s closing weekend, we decided to send off the joint in the most appropriate way possible. Take mind-altering drugs. And watch white +. Which I have no problem saying, is a pretty good combination. Will miss climbing the adjacent rooftop to XP.

Mammals at Temple

Man how I miss my Mammals. Besides giving some of the most riotous, righteous hard boiled performances this side of Beijing, the band knew exactly how to work the crowd, using everything from popper and balloons to set the mood right. But really, it came down to them just murdering each and every song with relish.

Zoomin’ Night at Sanyuanqiao Underpass

 \"P1160089\"

While I’ve never been a regular Zoomin’ Night attendee, something about the mix of killer acoustics, curious crowd, and an ‘off-the-wall’ improv set from Zhu Wenbo, Zhao Cong, Yan Yulong, Li Binyu, Li Song, and A Ke, as well as a sweet and lovely guitar set from visiting New Delhi songwriter Lifafa, turned the evening into one for the books. Thinking outside the box you kids.

Bob Ostertag at fRUITYSHOP

 \"P1150963\"

A transporting performance from an avant-grade legend – one that left me reeling and emotionally drained, BEME surprised the hell out of me with their guest artist Bob Ostertag. One of the few times you could hear a pin drop in the room.

Zhaoze at Yugong Yishan

Oh, how that guqin slays me each and every time. Zhaoze is post rock done right – grand ideas, grand arrangements, with plenty of sublime flourishes throughout. And that guqin – it was made for post rock. A set that left my camera and I transfixed.

Hong Qile at DDC

 \"P1200748\"

One of the times where you’re completely caught off guard and get stuck in a giddy trance. Glitch electronic artist Hong Qile got all anime on folks, using glitched out anime characters who disintegrated and terraformed before audiences\’ eyes. Just twisted genius work and a perfect marriage of visual and audio.

Deadly Cradle Death at DDC

 \"P1120201\"

DCD was my Moby Dick this year. After missing their outings again and again, I miraculously was able to book them for my Summer Blaze event. And boy jolly it was glorious. Down and dirty, which was only elevated by the down and dirty distilled liquor batch my good friend had cooked up beforehand, it was being back in XP expect with people actually moving this time out.

Dirty Fingers at School

If you know me you know I’m a sucker for all things Talking Heads. So when Shanghai off-the-cusp and slightly demented punk outfit Dirty Fingers, already proving to be one of the most energized punk acts I’m seen in the year (this was on a Monday night mind you) when they belted into a schizoid, invigorated take on ‘Psycho Killer’ I lost it.

Gulou Double Decker #2 at Temple/Dada

The Gulou Double Deckers were one of the coolest things I’ve been apart of – just a joy to work alongside Mr. Feola curating simultaneous events at 206 Gulou Dong Daijie. Our true coming out party in March was likely the best demonstration of the event, where Dada was turned inside out (with a drum set stuck down in the middle) and had Temple brimming with excitement.

DDC Celebratory Monday Night Bash

\"12345432_1666179073638357_6769096153680523671_n\"

69, like the high school valedictorian he is, threw a last minute rager after winning some awards. And like that time your buddy finds out his parents will be out of town and tells the whole school to come on over, the night turned into quite the impromptu bash full of (free) beer, good vibes, and a rotating cast of characters jumping up on stage including the sultry Mademoiselle and a makeshift Cat AIDS set. Righteous indeed.

Alright – there’s really too many to mention now that I think about it

— Bedstars dragging in a giant neon character from some demolished restaurant into XP for their set

Fake Weed’s fare-thee-well at the Old What?

Marshall’s Fake Birthday at Temple where bubbles, smoke machines, and flaccid penises were all present

pangbianr’s 5th year Anniversary balanced with zoomin night regulars and another stellar Chui Wan performance

— my student Shane attempting to pour beer down Dan and Dan’s throats during their Luv Plastik set resulting in the most hilarious of band meltdowns in history

— not putting in earplugs for Swans at Yugong Yishan

— Jia Huizhen x sunglasses x Dada = awesome

Raying Psychedelic Coalition at DDC

the first time I saw Scare the Children and being in awe of their ‘performance’ (those masks will haunt me)

— enlisting a bunch of skinned head monks (a bunch of broham tourists coming from one of the Shaolin-esque retreats) to clear out the seaters at DDC with their dance moves for Summer Blaze

— staying up way too late with Pokemon Dad at Temple

Steve Mackay telling my friend to fuck off at School when he tried to Stooge his way into his heart

— Kipp’s fifteen-minute reign of terror as Fratricide (seriously I want more)

— Rushing to and forth between Temple and School a sick mess to catch two magnetic performances simultaneously: Chinese Football and Round Eye

Dee kicking over his ‘doll’ in disgust or emotional upheaval during a set with Bai Tianke (I could make a whole list on Dee)

— Bassists hero at XP whose name I still do not know – watch – and if you know the whereabouts of this man let me know!

Holy shit that took a butt load of time! Uploading to soundcloud can be a hassle and a half, but it\’s all worth it in the end. I\’ve been steadily working on my top playlist for the past month and while I wish I could\’ve included more songs (it started at around 250 songs) I think what we\’re left with is a pretty good layout of what\’s been spinning in my head year round. I\’ve included below a pdf version of the playlist (though not in the same order as the soundcloud playlist). Lastly, this playlist will only be up for a month as our site doesn\’t have the funds to do a yearly account — however if you\’ve inclined to donate or throw a few bones toward a LBM soundcloud account shoot us a email at livebeijingmusic@gmail.com

2015 has seen a crop of new bands banging down doors and taking names. But what has struck me the most about these bands is the huge strides they managed to make in just one year’s time. Each has buckled down and evolved their sound, reaching a wider audience, and honed their skills so much that they’re already primed for a hell of a 2016. Talk about commitment – here’s the top five newest Beijing bands to hit the scene as well as a few other outliers worth mentioning.

5 Best New Bands (In Beijing)

The Eat \"P1000785\"

Douban

Straight no frills indie rock that doesn’t fuck around or try to cater to any clique. As the band once mentioned to me, all they wanna do is make catchy music, and boy have their followed through on their word. Genuine rock stars without an ounce of cynicism. So much, that indie rock label Maybe Mars have already gobbled them up.

The Death Narcissist

\"P1080819\"

Douban

Speaking of dirty fun, The Death Narcissist (note: I\’ve been kindly asked by the band to remove the \’s\’ cause there can only be one narcissist in the band – your guess is as good as mine) is the latest super expat group stacked with three very talented musicians who are firing on all cylinders. Riotous, dangerous, catchy stoner rock with a grunge backbone and an indie heart. Simply slays and cranks up the good times to full tilt each and every time out.

Lonely Leary \"Chinese-Cassette-Dayu-10-17-2015-312\"

Douban

A band that operates in the post punk dance hall world, but does it with such confident and tweeked relish, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the beat. A band whose performances have become more and more reckless and infectiously entertaining. Dirty, offbeat fun that Beijing deserves more of.

Jajatao \"P1120002\"

Douban

Professionalism up the wazoo – Jajatao (formerly Jajatone) is the brain child of Liu Yucao who has been steadily tightening the screws on his grunge revisionist outfit, whose mix of traditional chinese instruments and folklore with volatile scream filled acerbic alternative rock circa early 90s, and boy have their created a unique, gut busting experience for us.

Boiled Hippo \"P1160344\"

Douban

The band came out of the blue, under the name Color of Vanity, before settling on the more surreally alluring (and William Burroughs approved) Boiled Hippo – shoegaze turned up to 11. Noise rock with a thing for bone-crunching solos. And one of the most fascinating and unique takes on Velvet Underground’s ‘All Tommorw’s Parties’ – there’s something brewing in the slowdive outfit that’s begging to be heard.

Special Electronic Artist of the Year

\"P1070284\"

Mengqi is the bee’s knees. He is a mastermind of the highest degree. He invents his own electronic toys which enrapture the imagination and bewilder the ears. He wears purple latex gloves sometimes just cause he can. And he never repeats a set. Mengqi is boss and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Visiting Band of the Year

\"cfdfpic\"

Two bands, relatively new to the scene, who made the trip to Beijing and to my list, were Shanghai’s unhinged punk renegades Dirty Fingers, and Wuhan emo rock outfit Chinese Football, who both absolutely nailed it, with energized, assured performances which had me giddy like a school girl.

Updates on 2014 Picks

So two of the bands that made it on my list last year – Mammals and Luv Plastik – cease to exist (though I believe Luv Plastik isn’t officially dead yet). Bummers. Luckily, Mammals has sorta reformed, transformed, animorphed into Social Boar who make their debut later this month. The other two picks – Gate to Otherside and Horse Radio – have fared much better, the former getting signed to Maybe Mars this fall, and the latter dominating venues across town and picking up hordes of accolades. 2/4 ain’t bad.

\"topalbums2015\"

As noted by That’s Shanghai in their year end roundup, my ‘New Releases’ column has been one of the site’s greatest treasure troves for discovering new music. From scouring douban, xiami, online record stores (cheers Indie Music!) to even random weibo followers forwarding us new tunes, there has been no bigger treat than stumbling upon an album that I feel heads over heels in love with. So without further a due here’s the top ten releases to grace my ears this year followed by another essential twenty releases that I just have recommend.

Chinese Football – Chinese Football

 \"a3467014524_16\"

Bandcamp, Douban.

Perhaps the year’s most consistently engaging album, one whose influences are loud and proud – and yet that doesn’t take away one ounce of how frigging entertaining the whole package is. Midwest emo rock at it’s finest. A jangly mess of emotions and track after track of warm indie pop sensibility with bite, pathos, and gut that never dips into shtick. An album that demands repeated listen, and one that puts Wuhan’s Chinese Football on the map in a big way.

Wan Xiaoli – The Sun Looks Round

 \"13256118651427349025\"

Douban, Xiami

Xiaoli clearly has a way with words – scattered phrases, poetic and mundane all at once, that linger and burn into the background – are prominent throughout the folk renegade’s latest. But what I’m more impressed by is how well the mandolin, old school keyboard, and his terse folksy melodies fit in with his more indie, downright experimental sensibilities. It’s an album that flows together so seamlessly so effortlessly, that has altogether breathed live in the often times rudimentary genre.

Mr. Trouble – Nice

 \"17199540121419954012\"

Douban, Xiami

2015 has been a flagship year for hip-hop and rap. From the bubbly soulful jazz rifting of j-fever, and the anarchistic jaded marathon of MC Daiwei (whose release will likely be in next years top list), China has been making its mark on the hip-hop scene this year. Most prominent was Shanghai producer and rapper’s Mr. Trouble’s early 2015 release Nice, which blew the competition out of the water, with its stellar production, which jumps all over the map, to the MC’s fluid almost effortless flow, which bounces, engulfs, and excels. A raw, confident barnburner of hip hop triumph.

iimmune – Ocean

 \"s28107515\"

Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes

Blissed out indietronica that feels like the anti-thesis to the dark, steely, cynical world of electronic music that we live in today. Don’t get me wrong – I love my beats dark and malevolent too. But there’s something so triumphant and endearing about music that goes for broke and isn’t afraid to slap on the gloss and let that sun shine through and bright. A leap of joy and the best electronic album of the year.

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes – A Million Farewells

\"a0587631684_16\"

Bandcamp

Emotions run high on the bombastic, spellbinding swan song of Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, the little band that never was. There’s a driving urgency within the album’s framework that’s raw, insecure, and adolescent in nature. A tangled, dreamy, sprawling journey through the ups and downs of love that’s at once claustrophobic and cathartic. Love is a wreck, and this is truly a breakup album for the ages.

Wu Tiao Ren – Canton Girl

 \"12258653801425865381\"

Facebook, Douban, Weibo

A glowing sanguine rollicking night out – there’s something universal about the way Wu Tiao Ren sings about urban life. The Guangzhou-based outfit who hail from Haifeng, Guangdong switch to the more universal Mandarin language on their latest, but that doesn’t change the warmth that pours out all over this thing. Like a southern Chinese version of Billy Joel, it’s in love with the act of storytelling. The type of music that would light up bar with equal amounts of tears and cheer.

Chui Wan – Chui Wan

 \"a2119222631_16\"

Bandcamp, Douban, Xiami

There’s some beautiful mischief going on in psychedelic trope Chui Wan’s wonderful and intoxicating new album. Using an array of influences – from ‘southeast Asian folk tunes’, ‘sufi music’, and ‘20th century avant-grade composition’, the album is a delicate, lavish psychedelic playground that garners as much from its restraint to its complex arrangements.

Li Xiaolu – The Land of Many Pots

 \"13281314401428131440\"

XiamiQQ Music

Golden Melody Award nominee singer and a classically trained theater performer, Li Xiaolu has created a lusciously delirious piece of chamber pop that demands ones attention. Sprawling and transcendent, the artist’s robust and classically trained vocals, combined with the sparse yet dense arrangements (the production on this beast is top of the line) create once again one of the year’s most pleasant surprises – an avant-grade substitute to the sugar-coated indie pop world most singer-songwriters reside in.

Horse Radio – Horse Radio

 \"s27966176\"

Douban, Xiami

What a pleasure it is to hear a band finding new ground with an arguably overplayed genre. That’s exactly the case for Inner Mongolian Beijing-based outfit Horse Radio and their debut. While the album does contain it’s share of knee-slappers – reggae-infused rock-tilted jams that one can imagine would ignite a crowd at just about anywhere – there’s an inherent exploration within their sound; an improvisational vibe that elevates the material and truly feels organic and made in the grasslands.

Jia Huizhen – Demos

 \"Jia-Huizhen-China-Out-of-Chaos-500x500\"

Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Douban.

Back in March, ethereal elecro pop artist Jia Huizhen, an artist whose been hanging on the margins of underground success and mainstream stardom, and perhaps one of the scene’s most underrated acts, released a new single ‘About Blank’ with the promise that every following month, the artist would be releasing a new single. And not only did Jia Huizhen, who sings over production by longtime partner Yao Sichen, keep on her word, but shocked and surprised listeners with one glorious hit after glorious hit. What I find most refreshing about the tracks is vulnerable there are. It’s beautiful, powerful and abrasive, and sounds a million times more authentic than any of the much-lauded female stars of the indie scene. And while, the duo are currently in the midst of rerecording all their material for a big grand album that will hopefully push the artist into mainstream success, these ten tracks showcase an artist in their prime and in compete control of their sound.

20 Other Badass Albums

Stolen – Loop

\"s28239933\"
BandcampiTunesSpotify, Xiami

D-Force Records had a hell of a year including the Chengdu’s darkwave debut release which that feels fresh, vital, and just out there enough to find an audience – as much a product of China’s indie music scene as it is of the West’s.

Luv Plastik – Electric Fantasy/Luv Plastik vs Nano Zoo

 \"artworks-000114778287-26zkna-t500x500\"

Douban, iTunes, Soundcloud, Xiami

Beijing based British noise funk duo, one of the hottest commodities of the year roared with two EP releases off of new label Ran Music and it’s a riotous party.

Hiperson – No Need for Another History

 \"a3187074952_16\"

Bandcamp, XiamiDouban

Chengdu-based post punk outfit Hipseron, young and ruthless, impassioned and riveting, presented their confident and assured debut this year – a bleeding heart of an album held together by vocalist Chen Sijiang’s raw gasping existential voice.

Alpine Decline – Ink

 \"a1800547581_16\"

Bandcamp

Alpine Decline does it again with Ink, which trades in the band’s signature dystopian guitar ‘n drums ‘n buzz for a modular-synth-led choir. And it’s glorious. A cathartic overwhelmingly beautiful album which elicits emotion like none other.

Soundtoy – Midas Touch

 \"s28055335\"

Douban, Xiami

Chengdu staples whose rich storytelling, multi-layered instrumentation, and rife with emotional melodies that soar are all present on their latest indie pop opus, one not afraid to lay on the grandiose.

Zuriaake – Gu Yan

\"a1495758407_16\"
Bandcamp, XiamiDouban

A bloody black-tinted masterpiece and some of the most cinematic music out there. Switching faultlessly from folk metal to blistering depressive black metal, this is soundtrack music to one’s fall from heaven into the gates of hell.

Howie Lee – Mù Chè Shān Chū

\"a4175682772_16\"
BandcampiTunesDouban, Xiami

An intoxicating mix of traditional Chinese instruments among synths, 808s, and other samples of trap music Howie Lee’s vibrant debut is a striking, vibrant harmonious marriage of styles.

Zhaoze – Yesternight, Yes Tonight

 \"a2915875877_16\"

Bandcamp, XiamiDouban

Guangzhou post rock veterans Zhaoze return with anoter lush guqin-infused post rock offering finding transcendence in the most unlikely of places

P.K.14 – Music for an Exhibition

 \"a2252514371_16\"

BandcampXiami, Douban

A collaborative slam-dunk and improvised set that teamed up PK.14 post punk stalwarts with modular synth peddlers Alpine Decline and Zooming Night head honcho Zhu Wenbo. And in doing so, provide the band an outlet to expand their sound into deeper waters, allowing their psychedelic and experimental tendencies only hinted at in their previous work to come to full fruition.

Round Eye – Round Eye

\"a2972940021_16\"
BandcampiTunesSpotify, Xiami

The anarchistic streak which runs through Round Eye’s veins is split open and wide, spilling in every facet of the album’s production and overall atmosphere on the band’s debut – a free-wheeling funhouse of free-jazz, doo-wop, and punk that plays out like the best and worst drug trips of my time.

thruoutin – Service (Shanghai Mixes)

 \"a1756584337_16\"

Bandcamp

Seamlessly integrating classical Chinese instruments with intricate electronics, thruoutin gives his more full-bodied effort on Service – which consists of just two tracks (and thus was almost disqualified) but sneaks in with its inclusion of a handful of solid remixes from Shanghai’s electronic elite

Hedgehog – Neurons

Best b-side album of the year – Neurons includes b-sides, unreleased material, and new singles from the past ten years. Psychedelic jams, one-minute ditties, and as always, catchy as ever numbers, the album stands as a fine testimony to the bands longevity, vitality, commitment and evolution and is a most have for any Hedgehog junkie

Xiami

Frontman and guitarist of indie rock favorites The Gar invokes the upbeat indie pop flavorings of yesteryears with an inventive, fresh, and enthusiastic, allowing his lucid lyrics and hook-filled guitar riffs to carry the music almost effortlessly without once taking the easy route.

Li Daiguo, the American transplant who’s been a staple of the experimental and improvisational scene struts his instrumental chops on Commissions I and Commissions II, a collection of compositions that utilizes the artists knack for composing dense, layered, improv heavy, loop friendly arrangements that give traditional instrumentals like the erhu a modern, soundtrack worthy edge.

A bit of a cheat but I couldn’t simply give each of these excellent bands a slot on the list (The White Tulips, Forsaken Autumn, and City Flanker all released great stuff this year) so I figured I’d include the China Shoegaze Compilition we released this fall – a fine entry point in the beautiful walls of sound being created across the country.

Dirty Fingers – Dirty Fingers

Douban, Xiami

Shanghai punks are a cosmic force of nature – relentless, disorienting, charged and scrappy as all hell, it’s a mess of a good time, one that captures the glorious unholy matrimony that punk can still be.

nara – Pillow

Spotify, Xiami

A day dream of an electronic album, the EP, a remastering of the artist’s work from between 2005-2006, is the perfect sleepy time album chock full of ambient soundscapes that wouldn’t be out of place in a Nintendo game.

Little Wizard – Little Wizard I

\"11279524271427952427-1\"

Xiami, Douban

Shaoxing math rock outfit give a fine introduction on their debut. Vibrant, sophisticated arrangements that invigorate yet never descends too much into the whole ‘post rock cascading’ the genre is often known for.

Wusuozai – Drunk Island

 \"21002328301446663870\"

Xiami, Douban

Indietronica with the soul of jazz – the five tracks EP is an ambient-filled trip hop lucid dream whose greatest asset is its restraint and the dynamic voice of Sagel whose soothing drunk love lyrics drive the trio’s sound.

Various Artist – XY #001
